PROJECT: Knock Knock

deaf : hearing :

About the project:
This device enables people who are deaf or hard of hearing to know if there is a response after they knock on a door

The Problem:
There is now way for people who are deaf to know if there is a response at the door after they knock

The Solution:
The use of a stethoscope, a smart-phone, and a voice detector helps them communicate with others. With the help of these tools, one can hear and detect what is being said on the other side of a door and also as an alert if someone is calling them as they walk down the corridor of the hotel. This project was a co-operation between the Hilton Hotel Tel Aviv and the Israeli Air Force Industries, and is the winner The Reut Institute Prize for Community Integration.
